About us - RAFTING DUNAJEC
Trusted for years, loved by tourists
Rafting Dunajec was set up by 3 siblings in 2017 and soon has become the most popular company in the area. Boys have gained many experience on the river and their sister has been studying languages at the university. All of that has created the basis for the establishment of an incredibly good working team. Today their visitors come from different parts of Slovakia, Europe and from all corners of the world. The company is very well-known especially among Israelis. Although, doing their business has never been easy (everyone knows how though is to be a businessman here in Slovakia), they have always tried to promote a beautiful place where they live and work. Charming Pieniny. But what is the most important task for them?

New address, same unforgettable experience!
We would like to inform our loyal customers that starting July 1, 2024, our main facility has moved to a new location: Červený Kláštor No. 30. Despite the address change, our base is still in an excellent location just a few dozen meters downstream from the footbridge that connects Slovakia and Poland. The RAFTING DUNAJEC area now offers ample parking right in the center of the village, next to the Dunajec River. Look for our logo, Hebrew lettering, yellow branding – yellow flags, a yellow signboard – and all our team members always wear yellow T-shirts.

A spontaneous decision, but definitely the right one! We booked a rafting trip with a friendly and communicative instructor by phone, helped by a humorous and easy-going employee. The day before, we received a confirmation SMS. It’s great that there’s a private parking area with changing rooms and restrooms (mobile, but they serve the purpose). But what stands out most are the down-to-earth young people who give instructions and answer all questions.

We paddled 9 km in an hour and twenty minutes, during which we were told various facts and legends. It was a pleasant and safe experience, even for younger kids. To get back to your car, you can take a taxi (approx. 800 m from the finish point) for a fee. Or, for a fee, you can rent a bike and ride the 9 km route back along the riverside bike path. We decided to walk. After the rafting, we enjoyed a draft beer at the snack bar and reached our car within about two hours. The trail is about 80% shaded, with a constant view of the Dunajec – a great way to enjoy the beautiful nature. We’ll definitely be back with friends and do it again 🙂

Highly recommend! Great communication, excellent service – they accommodated everything we needed. We were a group of 20, so they had their hands full 😁. They arranged parking and transport to the rafting start point. Everything was ready. Just let them know in advance, and you’re taken care of. Complete gear (raft, paddles, vests, helmets, dry bags or barrels) is delivered already inflated – you just suit up, hop in, and start rafting.

We did the 17 km route – it was beautiful. A few splashy parts (the kids loved it 😁), plenty of spots to relax, and the views were stunning 😍. The river is great for rafting with kids. Along the route, there are two spots where photos are taken – you can buy them or not. At the end of the trip, staff will be waiting to collect the raft and gear. You don’t need to worry about anything. You can get back by taxi, walk, or ride a bike. About 800 m away is Chata Pieniny, where you can rent bikes, get food, and the kids can play – there’s even live music. If you choose the bikes, check them well. The route is mostly easy, except for two tricky sections. Watch out – the gravel path can be slippery. I didn’t like that some stretches near the river’s edge didn’t have guardrails (a bit stressful with kids). But overall, we were very happy – the kids and parents had a great time 😃.

The beautiful and wild nature, and the untamed Dunajec in this region, offer an endless number of interesting experiences for every attentive visitor.
